MORGOTH – Launch online live clip

In order to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the release of their classic “Cursed” album, Germany’s seminal Death Metal act MORGOTH had announced a leg of special live shows for 2011 and have by now successfully returned to stages for the first time since 1997: MORGOTH performed two special and extremely intense warm-up club-shows in Germany this past weekend, appearing at Wermelskirchen’s AJZ Bahndamm and Bremen’s Tower club.

May 25th, marked the exact date of the original release of the “Cursed” album back in 1991, so the band is happy to use this opportunity to share a raw and powerful live version of the song “Sold Baptism” from the recent sold-out show in Wermelskirchen on May 20th, 2011 with all of you. The band checked in after the first shows to comment as follows: “Wow, what a cool weekend! It felt great to be on stage again and we thank all the death metal maniacs that came out to Wermelskirchen and Bremen to be part of these first warm-up shows for the "Cursed" Anniversary! And now we are truly looking forward to the upcoming festivals...See you soon!"

For those of you attending Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen, Germany from June 10th – 12th, 2011, please notice that MORGOTH’s stage time is 6:15 – 7:15 PM on Saturday, June 11th. Additionally the band will be doing a special signing session at the festival on the same day at 8:45 PM. Further signing sessions for some of the other festivals will be announced shortly!
