Album Review

DEAD HAND PROJEKT founded 2010 by Taury Goforth released also their self-titled album then and since then this project continually progressed and expanded. Though ‘The Lost EP’ is now their third release after ‘Dead Hand Project’ and the EP ‘Horror’, I almost expected a full album release but Taury Goforth presents us with ‘The Lost EP’ another teaser.

With the first and real convincing track ‘Prick’ the beat was pounded with a sledge hammer right into your head, a tremor runs through the whole body and no one could longer keep his feet immobile. ‘Prick’ filled with great synth layers and stomping bass awakens the strong wish to throw your elbows and pulverize everything you hit on the dance-floor. ‘aKiLLeR’ pursuing the first track packed with good old-school industrial rhythm which keeps you trapped on the dance-floor. With a ruthless harsh voice Taury Goforth bring up one of the main problems today “….1 % has all the money, 99 is getting hungry!....”

The third track ‘The Tired Will Fight’ adding a number of imposing drum beats combined with an impressing electronic bass assembly was perfectly designed to bawl out your accumulated frustration. ‘Suck It Dry’ is a more than worthy conclusion to this unfortunately very short but brilliant masterpiece. Guttural bold vocals supported by extreme guitar riffs complete with the ever-present hard pulsating bass-line ensure a blood-boiling anger up to the last note.

This EP with its angry almost aggressive sound ensures that we are really looking forward for a complete album. The infectious drive within this new release is so exciting that you can’t withdraw this album from the first second. Critical lyrics united with the unforgiving sound can produce a lot of aggression within your brain but the pent-up anger could be unloaded on the dance-floor. What a great tease I don’t want to stop dancing or listening
