Album Review

BULLET is a heavy metal band from Sweden formed in the year 2001, the band`s sound is heavily influenced by acts like AC/DC and ACCEPT although their musical approach mixes both bands trademarks (AC/DC`s Rock’n’Roll and ACCEPT`s heavy metal sound). The new record will be BULLET`s 7th output in 13 years of band existence, that’s quite an accomplishment in these times. It is said that AIRBOURNE (a band with very similar sound) took BULLET as role models for their approach at AC/DC`s legacy.

On to the highlights of the record! The song ‘This one`s for you’ is quite a homage to 1980`s ballads with an AC/DC-on-speed attitude, ‘Hammer Down’ really sounds like a song ACCEPT should have written 25 years ago. I leave the rest up to you maybe there are other highlights for you my dear readers. The overall sound never leaves the road the previous records paved. As mentioned before this band is a mixture of a well-known Australian rock and roll outfit and Udo Dirkschneider’s old band. So the guitars know only one direction (forward naturally) the drums lead the way and Hell Hofer steamrolls his way through any hindrance on their way to the top (I hardly hear the bass but I almost never hear the bass listening to music anyways). This band deserves their manic following.
