Backstage, Munich, Germany
30th October 2009
ASP, Mono Inc.

Already four weeks beforehand the concert was sold out completely. Far and wide, no more tickets were to be found anymore! We took the chance to be part of the event.

Mono Inc.

We could experience the Rock band MONO INC. founded in 1998 in Hamburg already this year as support from SUBWAY TO SALLY. On 25th September 2009 their latest studio album ‘Voices Of Doom’ was released and at the end of the year they'll also start to their own “Voices Of Doom tour” which leads them also back to Munich in spring 2010. http://www.mono-inc.com/

Music & Performance
Singer Martin Engler, Carl Fornia (guitar, voice), Manuel Antoni (bass, voice) and Katha Mia (drums) began equally proper with ‘This Is The Day’ and gave to time for breathing to the audience. They played their big hits like ‘Temple Of The Torn’ just as, e.g., ‘Forgiven’ or ‘If I Fail’ from their latest album. Now, the mood in the overfull hall was already exceedingly good and also the band was in a good mood: Guitarist Carl Fornia went to the photographers in the ditch and played there further! A really good beginning of this promising evening!

ASP

ASP is a band from Frankfurt founded in 1999. Their music contains influences of alternative rock, new German hardness and Electronic. The band calls its style "Gothic Novel Rock". In 2008, the band published all in all three albums: The first Best-Of album ‘Horror Vacui’, the album ‘Zaubererbrüder - Der Krabat Liederzyklus’ and in December then their first complete live album ‘Akoasma’. http://www.thetalesofasp.com/

Music & Performance
Then shortly after half past nine it was time for the hotly expected band ASP consisting of singer and foundation member Alexander "Asp" Spreng, Matthias "Matze" Ambré (guitar), Andreas "Tossi" Gross (E-bass) and Oliver "Himmi" Himmighoffen who all entered the stage one after another and began a time trip through their unique music. Their program was diverse; there were also pieces with which the audience joined in the singing and clapping. The atmosphere was exceedingly good and Alexander Spreng was always looking for contact to the audience over and over again which was causing nothing but euphoria. After every song it was applauded and ASP could leave the stage not without additions.
