Backstage Werk, Munich, Germany
17th February 2011
Deine Lakaien, Vic Anselmo

DEINE LAKAIEN published their new album 'Indicator' last year in autumn and started afterwards to the tour of the same name. Unfortunately, the concert in Munich had to be postponed. Now on last Thursday it finally was time and we could experience DEINE LAKAIEN with their new program live.

Vic Anselmo

VIC ANSELMO is a Latvian Gothic / Alternative singer and songwriter from Riga. At the age of 10 she learnt to play the piano and to write own songs. With 16 she founded her first band with which she performed, among others, with bands like Tito & Tarantula or Danny Cavanagh (Anathema). In 2007, she also had some shows in Germany and Great Britain. Her debut album ‘Trapped In A Dream’ was published in autumn 2008 in Europe. www.vicanselmo.com

Music & Performance
At 8:30pm, VIC ANSELMO entered the stage and sat down at her E-piano. With her crystal-clear voice, the young artist sang her melancholic ballads. However, she did not to pull the audience in the nearly sold-out Backstage Werk under her spell with her unmistakable skill. The songs were very similar to each other from the basic mood and then many of the listeners got rather occupied in talks with others. After half an hour her appearance came to an end and she left under moderate applause.

Deine Lakaien

DEINE LAKAIEN is a German Electro / Dark Wave band which was founded in 1985. The band consists of composer Ernst Horn and singer Alexander Veljanov. In the last spring, we could experience the artists who came originally from completely different music directions already on their Acoustic tour. Then in autumn they published their ninth album 'Indicator' from which the single 'Gone' was released and started to their Indicator-tour. www.deine-lakaien.com

Music & Performance
Then after a really short rebuilding break it was so time: DEINE LAKAIEN entered the stage. Alexander Veljanov and Ernst Horn were supported by the cellist Tobias “B. Deutung” Unterberg, Yvonne “Ivee Leon” Fechner (violin) and Robert Wilcocks (guitar). From the beginning they had pulled the audience under their spell. DEINE LAKAIEN impressed the listeners not only with their new songs as for example 'Gone' but also with older songs like 'Mindmachine' or 'Into My Arms'. Nevertheless, it was striking that the guitarist and Ernst Horn looked at times a little bit bored or even absently, while Ivee Leon and B. Deutung showed a lot of fun in their appearance.

Alexander Veljanov was convincing with his magnificent voice. After more than two hours and some additions, this concert also came to an end and the band left under blustering applause. All in all, it was a nice concert evening for the lovers of the music of DEINE LAKAIEN.
