Album Review

It's been already ten years since the release of the first FIREWIND album ‘Between Heaven and Hell’ and nobody could imagine the evolution of this band and the evolution of the leader of the band Gus G. 'Apotheosis' released to celebrate the bands 10 years anniversary, it is recorded during the bands European tour but there are no notes to inform us from which gig is each track. The bands performance is in very high level in all the tracks of the album something which shows the bands professionalism. The sounds of the album is very good and keeps the live feeling something that makes the listening of the album even more enjoyable.

Something else that is also important about this recording is that 'Apotheosis' is the last FIREWIND album with Apollo Papathanasio behind the microphone. Apollo left the band in the beginning of 2013 because he couldn't follow the band's heavy schedule. About the tracklist of the album it's good but there are some songs missing like 'Breaking The Silence'. Closing to say that we have a very good album which I recommend it to someone who wants a first contact with FIREWIND's music. Also the album is a must for FIREWIND's fans because here they will find some songs that are very hard to hear in live performance.
