LITHOS SARCOPHAGOS is a one-man project by Daniel Dante, who is also member of the Swedish Gothic Rock band MADNESS OF THE NIGHT and an ex member of SOULGRINDER. Daniel stared the project in 2013 with the idea to make something more dark, traditional Gothic Rock with a blend of Black/ Doom Metal. The first release was the EP ‘Myself - MMXIV’ on 26th January 2014. Now, Dante is back with a second EP called ‘Dead-End’ which, on the one hand, continues the course of the previous work ‘Myself’, and on the other hand, takes on the features of another project of Daniel - MADNESS OF THE NIGHT, namely his anguish and anxiety, passion and expression. If ‘Myself’ was meditative and gravitated toward Doom Metal, then ‘Dead-End’ is Postpunk and Gothic Rock at its most violent forms. But, as before, LITHOS SARCOPHAGOS greets "body and soul", orthodox "gothic" sound and, as before, gives up hope for the revival of this music.
