Mo01Backstage Halle, Munich, Germany
13th May 2011
Mono Inc. & Lord of the Lost

On Friday the 13th, I was going Munich to enjoy an evening with MONO INC which I have experienced last in 2009 as support of SUBWAY TO SALLY. This time, they were headliner, supported by LORD OF THE LOST.

Lord of the Lost

LORD OF THE LOST is a Dark-Rock band from Hamburg founded in 2007. Musically, they place themselves between bands like HIM and RAMMSTEIN. LORD OF THE LOST played in 2010 already at some festivals, like the Wave-Gothic-Meeting, the Wacken Open air or the M'era Luna-festival. They published their debut album 'Fears' last year and now on the 1st of April 2011 followed already their second album 'Antagony'. www.lordofthelost.de

Music & Performance
Already at 7:50 PM, singer and front man of LORD OF THE LOST, Chris 'The Lord' Harms, and his band entered the stage. Despite the earlier than announced beginning, the Backstage Hall was filled already very well. Also the concert in Munich was sold-out. The show of LORD OF THE LOST was absolutely diverse: From their new single‚ 'Sex On Legs'‚ 'Undead Or Alive' up to a cover version of Lady Gaga's‚ 'Bad Romance' everything was present. Occasionally singer Chris Harms told about his childhood in Munich. Now the mood in the audience was already very well. After 45 minutes, the band left the stage under big applause.

Mono Inc.

In 2000, the Dark-Rock band MONO INC. was founded in Hamburg. After the former singer and foundation member Miky Mono - who died last year - left the band in 2003, Martin Engler, the present drummer, took over his part. In 2009, the band went extensively on tour as support of Subway To Sally and ASP. After the publication of their album 'Voices Of Doom' in 2009 followed their first Headliner tour to the album as well as support shows for UNHEILIG. On the 18th of March 2011 appeared their 5th album 'Viva Hades' which reached place 50 of the German album charts. www.mono-inc.com

Music & Performance
After half an hour of rebuilding break, the long and impatiently expected show started. From the beginning, singer Martin Engler, guitarist Carl Fornia, bassist Manuel Antoni and drummer Katha Mia of MONO Inc. won the hearts of the listeners and the mood reached one climax after another. They played older as well as newer songs and also all their big hits like 'Temple Of The Torn' or 'In My Heart'. The band members were all obviously in a good mood and Martin Engler knew very well how to include the audience into the show. Very nicely was also the acoustic part: Martin Engler alone only with acoustic-guitar.

A very emotional moment was when he told about Fukushima, Libya and other tragic incidents and began singing 'When All My Cards Are Played'. Then while playing the cover version of ‘The Passenger‘ the singing ability of the audience were also tested extensively. Unfortunately, after two hours everything was over after some additions and blustering applause. The evening was a great success and one can recommend only to everybody to visit a concert of MONO INC. some day. Martin Engler announced that there'll be probably 15 additional concerts in Germany in autumn 2011, so take you chance!
