Album Review

This is the first CD of LOVE.MIGHT.KILL, a band formed by its drummer Michael Ehré (ex FIREWING, METALIUM) which as it seems is dedicated to play classic Heavy Metal. It is something that comes almost naturally to this band, which is influenced by bands like BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW, JUDAS PRIEST, AC/DC, DREAM THEATER, DIO among many others. And though I’ve to admit that I enjoyed the ‘Brace For Impact’ I’ve also to say that this band which has potentials should kill its idols in order to move on. Maybe the best songs in the album were ‘Tomorrow Never Comes’ and especially the bonus track, ‘Reach Out’; both of them have this uplifting feeling that Heavy Metal evokes. On the other hand the homonymous track, ‘Brace For Impact’ oozes RAINBOW and WHITESNAKE. Right now I’m not in the mood to play “find-the-influences-to-each-and-every-song” game which might amuse the fans as a pastime therefore I’m expecting more interesting things from this band in the future.
