The weekend began with a jump into the past. Maybe not in every relation but for music of course! C64 goes on Stage. The gurus of computer music make their show at the Kato Berlin. Many people that would like to join the show squeezed into that little room. Unfortunately it was a longer way into that room because the door was closed till 8.15pm. The winter came back to Berlin and the fans weren’t very amused about that long waiting. But the show was a compensation for it!
Music
WELLE:ERDBALL play a mix among New Wave, analog electronic music and they are a imaginary radio station. The euphony originator is apart from analog synthesizers a Commodore C64. The genesis of that kind of music couches in the 80ies... Elemental!!! :) Bands like KRAFTWERK, D.A.F., GRAUZONE or IDEAL worked the same way. It’s a funny and electronic experience... On that Friday evening too! If you didn’t enjoy the music, look at the following setlist... to know, what you had missed!
Performance
The girls and boys of WELLE:ERDBALL moved only in little loco motions. First reason was of course the coolness. No way for breaking the generalities. And it was quiet hot in hall. But eyes can also tell a story... Honey, A.L.F, Mrs. Venus and Plastique speak without any dancing or jumping around the stage. The audience was in good mood and jumped for them - unfortunately not everyone every time in a friendly way amongst other fans.
