ARCH ENEMY – Announce release of first ever 2DVD “Live Apocalypse”!

ARCH ENEMY will release their first ever official full-length DVD on July 24th, 2006 in Europe. Entitled “Live Apocalypse”, this is a massive, jam-packed 2DVD set full of phenomenal live footage, in-depth interviews, on-the-road movies, multi-angle footage as well as the band’s promotional video clips; a classy follow-up release to last year’s acclaimed “Doomsday Machine” album, with which ARCH ENEMY managed to achieved chart entries in the US, Germany, UK, Sweden, Austria and The Netherlands, further establishing them as one of metal’s leading acts and taking them to a new peak in their already astonishing career.

After returning from a North American Co-Headline tour with Chimaira, ARCH ENEMY are currently preparing for several live appearances in Europe during the 2006 festival summer, including performances at Sweden Rock Festival, Download Festival (UK), Graspop (BEL), With Full Force (GER), Wacken (GER) and many more (see below for a full list of dates). They also recently completed a new video for the track “My Apocalypse” with director Roger Johansson (In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Soilwork) which you can view here.

To give you an idea what to expect of “Live Apocalypse”, band mastermind Mike Amott (guitars) outlines his thoughts on the upcoming 2DVD release:
“The “Live Apocalypse” DVD is now finally complete. This shaped up to be an ultra cool 2-disc affair, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it. The main show is from The Forum in London, UK (December ’04), and we also have footage from Manchester, UK in December ’05 (there’ll be 3 songs included from that). There are tons of extras and special features, as there should be. The artwork was done by Niklas Sundin of Cabin Fever Media, and we’ll be posting the cover ASAP. Andy Sneap’s audio mix (5.1 and stereo) is so heavy, it almost blew my speakers out! He really captured the live feel and power of the show; it's like you are right there in the audience. Brilliant! This DVD crushes some of my favourite metal DVDs from my own collection – and I have a sick collection. Once again, I am happy that we work with the best. They make us look and sound great.”
