Element of Crime

The music of ELEMENT OF CRIME consists of several sound crumbs – guitar, bass and drums – and things which would turn out to Rock music within other bands turn out as some kind of folk rock within ELEMENT OF CRIME. It is utterly good and always right. All band members are good musicians who could easily create elaborate songs; but they don’t do that. If you work on classics, overkill is not good.

ELEMENT OF CRIME go into their 20th year of existence – now again as a quartet. The most recent album is called ‘Mittelpunkt der Welt’. The songs on the album deal with the beloved paranoia, with everyday neuroses. They tell about adventures in other’s youth, about lovers, about nights and winters and the sky… The band again sounds rougher than during their previous two albums; more as a band again. Never an album can replace the live experience, but ‘Mittelpunkt der Welt’ approaches more to the live feeling because this album is produced more shaky and easier; it is opener as the two predecessors.

On Wednesday 7th March 2007, the band will be live on stage at the Congress-Saal of the Halle Münsterland in Münster, Germany. The show starts at 20:00. Tickets can be purchased for the pre-sales price of 23 EUR plus fees.
