AMORPHIS
AMORPHIS recently entered the Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki to start the recording process for their follow-up to last year's Far From The Sun, due in 2006. Producing the effort are Nino Laurenne (Thunderstone) and Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH) for vocals. Mikko Karmila, who has previously worked with Stratovarius , Nightwish, Edguy , and many others, will take care of the mixing. "The new material will be heavier than ever", the band explained in a statement. "There will be an epic theme throughout the album, influenced by Finnish tradition."
EXODUS
Currently on the road in support of their latest release, Shovel Headed Kill Machine, out on October 4th, 2005 with Three Inches of Blood and Watch Them Die, Exodus are killing the United States with a brutal display of Thrash Metal at it’s best!
TAPPING THE VEIN
Tapping The Vein work with veteran producer Neil Kernon. While the Gothic rockers/metallers were in the middle of writing their third album, veteran producer Neil Kernon contacted the band out of the blue about a future cooperation.
The man, who handled production duties for legendary albums by NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE among others, was impressed by their latest album The Damage. "When I first heard the CD", Kernon states, "I just couldn't stop playing it. I ended up contacting TAPPING THE VEIN directly in the hope of possibly collaborating with them in some way." The result will be there in spring 2006.
No Mercy Festival
Kataklysm have secured the co-headliner position for the No Mercy Festivals tour in Europe held next March. Some shows in the Quebec area are also planned for December. Kataklysm's new album 'In the Arms of Devastation' is currently being mixed in Denmark by acclaimed producer Tue Madsen.
