SQY Rocking Team has got some news to share with the world. Please read below wbout all the band has to say regarding their latest plans to get a break through (after only 13 years) by bribing a national radio station who are doing a fund raising for Congo into playing their music.

And then there is a change in the band's line-up that is to take place at their anuual party. More information on all these subject below.

New bass player

After 12.5 years of dedicated service bass player Joris de Clercq has decided to leave SQY Rocking Team. The band’s ambitions appeared incompatible with Joris’ wish to spend time on other important matters in life.

In Martijn Mansvelders (ex Vettige Matjes, God’s Chosen Dealer) SQY has found an excellent replacement. On December 23rd, during the Hard & Heavy X-mass party at Plato in Helmond (NL), the band and fans will say goodbye to Joris and Martijn will officially be installed into the band.

Promotion on national radio

Fans and band have decided to try and promote the band on 3FM (Dutch national radio). During this week the station is doing a fund raising called: Serious Request. 3 DJs are stuck in a glass house in the centre of Utrecht trying to raise as much money as possible for, in this case: Congo. During the entire week people can request songs after donating money.

The fans and band have decided to try and get SQY Rocking Team some airplay. Money to get the necessary funds can be transferred to a general bank account and the final result together with an SQY promo package will be delivered at the 3FM glass house studio by two fans on Friday.

For more information we’d like to direct our Dutch visitors to the sites of SQY Rocking Team and/or 3FM. The information is only available in Dutch.
