ROCK OF AGES 2015: The great rock open air festival in Seebronn from 31st July to 2nd August 2015. It's happening on the 31st July 2015: once again and for the tenth time continuously, the ROCK OF AGES summer open air is taking place on the festival ground in Seebronn near Rottenburg. In celebration of the great anniversary year, the comfortable South German event is extended to three days. As ever, the organisers invited numerous rock greats as guests – among veritable legends like MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND, URIAH HEEP, SUZI QUATRO, THE SWEET or NAZARETH and numerous international greats like THE HOOTERS, THE LENINGRAD COWBOYS, MAGNUM, the former MARILLION singer FISH, D-A-D or THE TUBES. A very special highlight is the performance of the ROCK MEETS CLASSIC project on Friday evening. The 40-strong bohemian symphony orchestra Prague comes to Seebronn under the aegis of the German hard rock pioneer Mat Sinners – and brings along numerous famous guests: Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER), Michael Kiske (UNISONIC, ex-HELLOWEEN), Joe Lynn Turner (ex-RAINBOW, ex-DEEP PURPLE), Marc Storace (KROKUS) and shooting star Jennifer Haben (BEYOND THE BLACK) join the ensemble and volunteer orchestral versions of their greatest hits.
Whereas on Sunday the stage is free for a colourful family programme: the popular nursery rhyme author and interpreter Detlev Jöcker takes care of the entertainment of big and small with his companion Arabella Wirbelwind from 10am and it won't get boring during show breaks either thanks to numerous attractions like a bouncy castle, face painting for children or Fun Balls. The entrance is free – until the beginning of the regular festival from 3pm.
The general pricing of the festival is as family friendly as ever: Entrance is generally free for kids under 10, kids from 10 to 13 years only pay half of the normal entrance.
