 Rosenhof, Osnabrück, Germany09th December 2006 L’âme Immortelle, XPQ-21, Punto Omega 09th December 2006 - on this cold evening we went to Osnabrück to the very nice location ROSENHOF. We had visited this charming location several times before and every time again we enjoyed the very nice ambiance of the ROSENHOF. This time we went there for the bands L'ÂME IMMORTELLE, XPQ21 and PUNTO OMEGA. Unfortunately we missed the first support JESUS ON EKSTASY because they had played about one hour earlier than announced at the venue website. At 20 past 7, we had just arrived, PUNTO OMEGA entered the stage. Punto Omega PUNTO OMEGA was founded in 2002 in Buenos Aires, after PILGRIM (programming, vocals and concepts) and VIATOR (lyrics and concepts) who worked together in other musical projects before, decided to form a band of their own combining EBM and Darkwave with orchestral and martial elements. They started to compose their first songs and when the first demo tracks were finished they had the chance to include them into an Argentinean electro compilation CD where the name PUNTO OMEGA appeared officially for the first time. THOMAS RAINER of L'ÂME IMMORTELLE also listened to them and introduced the band to the TRISOL MUSIC GROUP crew, who signed PUNTO OMEGA soon thereafter. http://www.punto-omega.net / http://www.myspace.com/puntoomega   Music The music of PUNTO OMEGA was a kind of rhythmic danceable electro sound with dark vocal-lines. The vocals mostly were modified by a vocoder; normally I don't like this, but in this special case the melodic line of the voice persisted despite of the vocoder. The keyboard sounds were perfected by real drums which were played by the keyboard player as well. The set ran about 30 minutes.   Performance The singer, dressed with a long black coat and sunglasses, performed the vocals dedicated and powerful. The keyboard player was hitting a little drum set additional to playing his keyboards. The lightshow was straight for a support act. The routes of XPQ-21 go back to the early 90ies, as JEYÊNNE had written a song titled XPQ-21 - one of the first techno hits ever. Over the years, XPQ-21 made their way and after three years break, XPQ-21 is back now with ALIVE, the current album which was released in March 2006. XPQ-21 are JEYÊNNE (vocals, keys, guitar, writing, production), ANNELIE (guitars, keyboards, additional vocals), KEBBASASCH (drums, percussion) and THE MASK (sequencer, sampler, synth). Sadly at this time KEBBASASCH and ANNELIE were missed on stage and only two band members performed the show. http://www.xpq21.net / http://www.myspace.com/xpq21   Music It started with screaming, the audience was awaken and did look and listen to the stage. Unfortunately the audience was not that much into this kind of music and so the band got not the applause they deserved. A part of the audience rapid was infected by the pushing Techno-influenced EBM sound but another part was shocked by this, maybe it was a little bit too hard for the ordinary fans of L'ÂME IMMORTELLE. The fulminate electro-punk-show consisted of eight songs, mostly taken from the current album ALIVE. Highlight of the setlist was the cover version of BELA LUGOSI'S DEAD (BAUHAUS) – even though probably the bigger part of the quite you audience did not even know that Goth classic.    Performance The show was lovely for the eyes because the clothing of JEYÊNNE with the white rouged face and the white clothes, accented by a black hat, a red tie and annulated socks, were very eye-catching. JEYÊNNE all the time was running, dancing, posing and animating while THE MASK, behind this white mask, was operating the keyboards. Altogether it was a diversified show and very amusing in spite of the restrained response of audience. But you could feel that JEYÊNNE took those reactions not too serious… he even was amused by it what he also showed in my opinion with his ironic performance.   Setlist 1. Rockin' Silver Knight 2. White & Alive Rating Music: 8 Performance 10 Sound: 8 Light: 8 Total: 8.6    L’âme Immortelle After another short break, the headliner of the day - L'ÂME IMMORTELLE - entered the stage. The history of L'ÂME IMMORTELLE began at a party with a lot of alcohol and cheap talk involved. That's where THOMAS RAINER met HANNES MEDWENITSCH and they decided to work together. In 1996 the composition of the song LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN gave the impulse to look for a female voice to complete the band's line up. The singer was found with SONJA KRAUSHOFER, a former classmate of THOMAS. In summer 2002, HANNES had to quit the band due to his state of health and SONJA and THOMAS decided to continue working as a duo. Nevertheless, guitarist ASHLEY DAYOUR (WHISPERS IN THE SHADOW) joined the band as a live musician later that year and contributed a lot to the songwriting process of the next albums. On stage L'ÂME IMMORTELLE were supported by ASHLEY DAYOUR (guitar), FRANCIS (Bass), MARTIN PARZER (keyboard, SAMSAS TRAUM) and MARKUS ADAMER (drums). http://www.lameimmortelle.com/ / http://www.myspace.com/lameimmortelle    Music L'ÂME IMMORTELLE were well-known for their romantic-kitschy ballads like BITTERKEIT or LIVE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN. Of course these songs were part of the setlist, but like usual a great part of setlist has been taken from the current album AUF DEINEN SCHWINGEN which was released in August 2006. The show started with an intro - spoken words by SONJA - followed by the single-release STUMME SCHREIE. After it, the show continued with some current songs alternating with older songs too like FEAR, AUS DEN RUINEN or EPITAPH. The main set finished with LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN followed by two encores whereof the last song was BITTERKEIT.   Performance SONJA, the pretty female singer with her beautiful red hair and her nice dresses, primary was the eye-catching person on stage. Fore, behind and beside her, THOMAS was running around and singing too, at some songs he was additionally playing keyboard. The interaction between SONJA and THOMAS distinguish L'ÂME IMMORTELLE, the both voices, if they sung alternated or together, are the trademark of L'ÂME IMMORTELLE. Perfected by the other live musicians, first of all the virtuosic guitar player ASHLEY DAYOUR, SONJA and THOMAS had run a diversified soulful performance. A special moment came somewhen in the middle of the set for a young girl when she was taken onto stage for a whole song after she presented some flowers to SONJA.    Setlist 01. Intro 02.
