dandelionwineAustralian dark ethereal/medieval triphop duo Dandelion Wine have launched a Pozible campaign to crowdfund a tour of Europe this year. They are seeking funds for airfares to get them over to play at festivals and clubs in Germany, Switzerland, Estonia and Poland.

Rewards on offer for those who pledge their support include one-off custom vinyl, lessons in all manner of crazy instruments, private gigs (in your house or in their hotel room on tour)... even the opportunity to decide what colour singer Naomi Hendersonʼs hair will be on the tour. Yes, itʼs usually fire engine red but ever wondered how it would look purple, green, pink or blue?

Also up for grabs are CDs, postcards, handmade box sets or even the chance to have an ambient track created just for you. If you have ever wondered what this electro-folk duo could do to your music then you can do what Wolfenmond and Alternative 4 have already done and get a DW remix of your track. Or be like Louisa John-Krol and just get Nicholas to mix your whole single, EP or album.

Dandelion Wineʼs trademark ethereal electro medieval/triphop sound has seen them play in over thirteen countries, including everything from Tokyo clubs to German castles, Parisian squats to faerie festivals on the Cornish moors. With three releases on the respected German label Ars Musica Diffundére/Black Rain under their belt, the band are currently finishing off a new album to coincide with the tour in August and September this year. The 2013 tour includes Festival Mediaval in Germany (the worldʼs largest medieval festival, also featuring Corvus Corax, Faun & Valravn), Bruchtal Festival in Switzerland (a Tolkien-inspired festival high in the Swiss Alps), a special headline show in Estonia and a few club shows in Germany and Poland.

"Dandelion Wine, when it's all said and done, really defy description: these are two artists dancing deliciously and deliriously to their own unique drumbeat. ... it's not every day that something as profoundly interesting as All Becompassed By Stars comes along, and the world and the music scene is a better, more exciting and decidedly more postmodern place because of it." Inpress (AU)
