stevenwilson tour2016When STEVEN WILSON released his youngest record ‘Hand.Cannot.Erase’ (position three of the official record charts) the critics went head over heels. Nothing less than the return of progressive rock was cheered at there. The multi-instrumentalist has been making fantastic music for years, all his fans have known this for a long time. The founder, singer, guitarist and songwriter of Porcupine Pine and at least a half dozen of further bands and projects, this composer, arranger, lyricist, producer, remixer, restorer and label operator works with all possible sounds and styles after all. Is this still prog? Wilson only distinguishes between boring and exciting music. ‘Hand.Cannot.Erase’ belongs definitely to the second category.

Wilson was inspired by the documentary ‘Dreams Of A Life’ which deals with a woman that has laid dead in her flat for three years. No old, lonely woman precisely but a young, popular, attractive – with family, friends and ex-lovers who was still not missed by anybody. The Brit brought it here in March and April and thrilled the listeners with storms of enthusiasm. Now, Wilson confirmed that he will continue the second leg of his tour in the coming January. 13.01.2016 München - Philharmonie
