Germany's most colourful festival is happening again on 10th and 11th June 2016 at Loreley – Early Bird tickets sale has been extended Further bands have been announced for next year's Rock Fels Open Air on 10th and 11th June 2016. UNISONIC, DORO, RAGE and ENSIRFERUM have been added to the bill. Besides, due to the high demand, the sale of the so-called “Early Bird” tickets has been extended. It doesn't end, as planned, today but on the coming Tuesday at 6pm.
No one else but the original HELLOWEEN singer Michael Kiske is responsible for UNISONIC. He did not only influence the early phase of one of the most influential German bands with his unique voice but a whole generation of metal singers. He is counted among the best of his genre until today.
DORO is the uncontested German metal queen. Songs like ‘Für Immer’ or ‘All We Are’ are hymns which must be played on every rock party. Becoming famous in the 80s as the singer of the band Warlock, the likeable Düsseldorf gal became successful as a solo artist at the beginning of the 90s and was awarded with an Echo award as best national female artist in 1994.
With RAGE, another legendary band has joined the line-up. Peavy Wagner and his group has been influencing the German music landscape since the 80s. The band from Herne even managed to be included in Bulli Herbig's successful comedy ‘Der Schuh des Manitou’ with the song ‘Straight to Hell’. The band celebrated its 30th stage anniversary last year.
While other festivals are often dominated by inaccessible grounds, long ways from the camping site to the stage and few chances for shades and seats, the ROCKFELS festival offers completely different local prerequisites. The magnificent Rhine valley surrounding provides “Deluxe” festival conditions which do also justice to those open air visitors who do not necessarily want to experience muddy meadows and the width of the prairie anymore. The Loreley has remained during numerous open air events a location which is not only beautiful and sophisticated but where one can have a relaxed, stress-free and familiar time. A perfect mix of rock concert, comfortable beer garden and short vacation in Germany's most spectacular scenery.
