partlyfaithful logoAhead of the release of their debut EP ‘Partly Faithful’ on 23rd March 2012, Post-Punk collective Partly Faithful will be giving away the self titled track as a free download. You can download and stream the single ‘Partly Faithful’ here.

Harnessing an array of emotions such as anger, resentment and a sense of social disillusionment Partly Faithful layer these themes through stories of vitriolic romanticism entwined with a wry sense of bitterness. Taking away the rose tinted lenses of society Partly Faithful echo the deadpan dark melodic delivery of the ‘Pornography’ era of The Cure via Echo & The Bunnymen combined with the moody undertones of Bauhaus, early Danse Society, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Joy Division.

This post-punk leaning four piece formed in London in 2011 out of the ashes of underground heroes Screaming Banshee Aircrew who developed a formidable fan base before calling it a day to move into other directions. From here the shamanic front man Ed Banshee teamed up with in bassist Chris Brown (Somewhere Outside New York/Dr. Vampire), guitarist Gemma Thompson (John & Jehn/Savages) and drummer Belle Star (Nosferatu/The Hiram Key). The focus of this new band is one of unforgettable live performances and darker, guitar-driven sounds.

Partly Faithful are here to stay and come from the same ideological background as some of the undergrounds most steadfast figures such as The Chapman Family, Cold In Berlin, Ulterior, Neurotic Mass Movement and Selfish Cunt – they will follow their own path.Ears have been pricking up already across the country and ahead of their debut EP they will be releasing the lead track ‘Partly Faithful as a free download.
