Since 1995, the band hailing from Seattle, founded by former NIRVANA drummer David Grohl, proved that it is more than a nine day wonder. Eponym for the band’s name is the expression for the UFOs that were watched during WW2. Seattle was back in the eighties the birthplace of the Grunge sound and of course the FOO FIGHTERS blend this influence in its sound of Post Grunge/ Alternative Rock/ Hard Rock. Eight studio albums, which had always good chart positions in several countries, are the result of the band’s long career.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary and to promote the latest album, launched in 2014, the band is now touring worldwide including two dates in Germany. That David Grohl and his band mates are absolutely passionate about performing live is proven recently, when he fell of the stage, broke his leg but instead of finishing the show immediately, he let his leg treated by a doctor on stage and continued to perform.
