killingjoke pylonKILLING JOKE are back and announce a new record. After the reformation in 2009 and the two records ‘Absolute Dissent’ (2010) and ‘MMXII’(2012), the sixteenth album by the post-punk pioneers from West London ‘Pylon’ will be released on 23rd October 2015 via Spinefarm Records. “The sound of the earth vomitting” – that's how the sound of the band was often called. Nothing shall change on the new album. ‘Pylon’ is not meant for a cosy evening by an open fire. The band creates the typical ritual, raw and reckless sound together with producer Tom Dalgety who recently mixed the successful Royal Blood.

Jaz Coleman about the new album: “This record really showcases the power of Killing Joke. I remember we once jammed with German outfit Can, and I don’t remember hearing Can…”

Youth about the title ‘Pylon’: “It’s simple… Stark brutal industrial suicide… This is the third in a triptych of albums, Absolute Dissent, MMXII and now Pylon… heavy and uncompromising, bleak dystopian lyrics, as well as some visionary celebration… lots of black pain emotion. To be honest, we remain genre blind so our music will always cover a vast spectrum of influences, from disco right through to heavy metal and beyond…”

Lyric Video for the first Single ‘I Am The Virus’

An extensive tour is planned after the first shows in the UK in October and November. Information will follow soon.
