Cologne, the German city, harbouring that famous little cathedral calls all dark creatures back home for the Amphi festival taking place. Not to Rheinpark grounds this time as the festival has changed its location. This year the festival will take place at Amphi Eventpark including an Open Air Stage, Lanxess Arena and of course it will include a chill out area. Also in 2015, the organizers have thought of a not only presenting well-known and smaller bands on stage, but also there will be an interactive songwriting thing with the help from Honey of Welle:Erdball and his C64.
With its incredible live-programme, stylistic diversity and high standard in organization and the new venue, the Amphi Festival will still be a very comfortable and elegant festival! A fan once summed it up nicely, stating: “Amphi is the S-class among the festivals!“, while author Christian von Aster formed the legendary phrase “Alles wird Amphi (All is Amphi)“.

Big Amphi Pre-Party at “Wartesaal am Zollhafen”
On 24th July 2014 the official Amphi Festival pre-party kicks off at the WARTESAAL IM ZOLLHAFEN, located directly at the Rhine. The premises come up with 1,500m2 party space on two levels and an impressive harbour-line. The club facilities match top-class standard and offer the perfect platform for a nightly dance-floor frenzy.
Autograph Sessions
There will be several autograph sessions again. The times will be published right before the festival.
Call the Ship to Port
Amphi Festival 2015 will open on Friday 24th July with an exclusive event aboard the “MS RheinEnergie”, Europe´s biggest and most sophisticated domestic event ship. This special opening event features a program with two live-acts of the Amphi Festival 2015, performing unique sets they never played before or which deviate from their regular festival setlist. The concerts will be performed while the ship cruises along the shorelines of the Rhine. After the live-shows, the ship returns to the boarding bridge around midnight, while an exclusive after-show party on board rounds up the evening. The opening event “Call The Ship To Port” is a part of the new “Amphi Festival Premium Box Set”, limited to 1,111 units, and already sold-out.
AND ONE – RETRO HOUR – 1990-1995 (Only aboard MS RheinEnergie)
„I might have always been a bit cheekier than all the rest“, is what mastermind Steve Naghavi told in an interview with the legendary Ecki Stieg. According to him this is the reason why And One were having such a huge success. Sometimes provocative as in ‘Deutschmaschine’, ‘Strafbomber’ or ‘Steine sind Steine’ or with a great sense of humour as in ‘Pimmelmann’, the band has never been boring, sometimes a little arrogant and most of all they have always reinvented themselves new. With a range from EBM, 80s tunes and love songs the band will play and exclusive set consisting of tracks only from 1990-1995 with the motto “RETRO HOUR”. Go there and enjoy!
EZIONOGA
“redruM - htaeD - lliK : EZIONOGA!!!“ Well, no this is not a part of a horror movie, it’s more or less the nemesis of one of the most extreme Electro bands ever. Chris L and Oliver Senger alias EZIONOGA will take to trip through the human soul, without any compromising. It will be harsh, rude, full of murder and death, so take care of you.
!DISTAIN
Founded in 1992, coming back in 2003 with new band members, the Synth Trio from Augsburg, Germany, can now look back on more than 20 years of making music. Having several entries in the Deutsche Alternative Charts ( DAC), the band is maybe most memorable for their latest album ‘on/off’ and for remixing tracks for CAMOUFLAGE and of course for taking part in the AND ONE “S.T.O.P. Fulltimeshow“.
