The most successful Pink Floyd tribute band worldwide play their eighth big tour in succession: after some very successful tours and some sold out shows in the past few years, THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW comes back to Germany also in 2015 with their new show. The tour is devoted the motto WELCOME TO THE MACHINE in the coming year – equally a song title and a homage to the Pink Floyd record Wish You Were Here. It is the most extensive Germany tour so far and leads the band in March and April 2015 through 25 cities in total, among others Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Cologne. Tickets are available as an exclusive presale from the 20th April 2014 on at Eventim. The regular presale begins on 2nd May 2014.
Wish You Were Here was recorded in the Abbey Road Studios which primarily became famous because of the Beatles and it was released in September 1975. It contains merely five titles that all blend into each other smoothly – among them is the famous song Shine On You Crazy Diamond an appreciation of the former Pink Floyd member Syd Barrett. THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW take the 40 years long existence of the record as an opportunity to honour Wish You Were Here at their upcoming tour appropriately.
But that's not enough: during their approximately 2 hours long show the musicians do not only play pieces of Wish You Were Here but also further Pink Floyd classic of a variety of records. They guarantee musical precision between psychedelic sounds and progressive rock with every tune that does not differ a lot from the original – by this they offer an unique live experience for every Pink Floyd fan.
As close to Pink Floyd as possible but still giving it their personal touch which is to be understood as a homage to their great idols – that is the credo of THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW. Due to the consistent meticulousness of their approach to reproduce the sound of Pink Floyd as perfectly as possible the Australians achieve the seemingly impossible: the true resurrection of the greatest rock music that has ever been written. Since 25 years does the tribute band exist, worldwide tours have brought the group to already 35 countries – and they have sold around four million tickets!
THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW has proven to a million-strong audience that they master their craft perfectly and have even convinced critical fans. No surprise, every doubt diminishes while facing the saturated, but sensitively elaborated sounds and their voices that sound like the originals, leading to the realisation that there is no one else but passionate musicians on stage. In combination with a sophisticated light and laser show and fitting video projections and animations that underline the music visually, the Germany events of THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW in the coming year will surely be excellent concert experiences again.
