The Sisters of Mercy

It's been thirty years ago that one-of-a-kind rock band THE SISTER OF MERCY from Leeds, Britain, has released their debut ‘First and Last and Always’ (1985). Only two more studio albums followed, namely, ‘Floodland’ (1987) and ‘Vision Thing’ (1990). Still, THE SISTERS are celebrated as icons because of their timeless tunes that are gloomy and danceable at the same time: Just think of ‘The Temple of Love’, the ‘Flood’ songs, ‘Dominion / Mother Russia’, ‘This Corrosion’, ‘Marian’, ‘More’, or ‘Lucretia My Reflection’. Despite the lack of new recordings, THE SISTERS remain active as performers.

If you want to relive the 80s together with vocalist Andrew Eldritch, his guitarists Chris Catalyst and Ben Christo, and of course Doctor Avalanche, the legendary drum machine, then come out on 8th December to Cologne's Palladium or the day after to the Columbiahalle in the capital. These are the new dates for the two exclusive shows in Germany on their 2015 tour. Some of you already have their tickets as the gigs had to be postponed; crew and band suffered from viral laryngitis which made it impossible for Eldritch to sing. To those without a ticket yet: Here's your second chance!
