They can be described as "super group", but for MODERAT itself it is the "group aspect" which makes things interesting for them. Gernot Bronsert, Sebastian Szary (aka Modeselektor) and Sascha Ring (aka Apparat) work as a trio together almost as long as like both of their own projects exist. Szary and Sasha agree that MODERAT has gradually swapped producing tracks against more traditional composing of songs - a process that happens primarily on their latest album ‘III’.
"Imagine you are sitting in the cinema and see a movie with an incredible soundtrack", Szary describes the idea behind MODERAT. In November, you have the chance to experience this "supergroup" at their creative height live in Cologne.
