DIARY OF DREAMS are back three years after ‘Nigredo’, an album which was highly acclaimed worldwide and sent them on an extensive World Tour with seven title stories in the baggage. ‘Nekrolog 43’ is the title of the successor, their already 9th studio album. But how do you link to something that is so successful like ‘Nigredo? The answer is simple: You just don’t try to copy the recipe for success, but set new standards for oneself and others.

While the new album content-wise links to where ‘MenschFeind’ left us behind in the dark, the music of the new album shows itself more intense, deeper and first of all extremely diverse; partly very calm and partly rhythmic & explosive. The journey one is going through within these 13 tracks with over 70 minutes of playing time, leads you through inenarrable, emotional ups and down. It is a dark and melancholic world, which we discover, and experience here, a world that fascinates, but also shocks. This impression is also accentuated by the graphical design that already cut a dash at ‘Nigredo’ and ‘MenschFeind’. The love for the detail was always a big strength of the band and it seems like this aspiration has matured to a new perfection

‘Nekrolog 43’ is its own monument as it’s the impressive continuation of a story of apparently endless inspiration and new discoveries. It’s not possible anymore to imagine the musical world without DIIARY OF DREAMS but with this new album, they show once again where they stand.
