The Candy Spooky Theater

Those who read the Orkus Magazine (for those who haven’t noticed: Europe’s goth magazine) have already gotten a taste of the highly theatrical Visual Kei group that combines deathrock with lullabies and playfulness with Halloween-horror, and humour with goth themes. A live show of the CST (Jack Spooky, Zull and Peggy)  is a one-of-a-kind experience that could easily have been invented by Tim Burton himself.

Yet, this work is all original CST; they have collected a fair amount of freaky, spooky props and decorations and use them in their demented, fragmented, tongue-in-cheek horroresque theatrics while playing their unconventional songs. This band also knows exactly how to summarize their music tantalizingly: “Your mom being stabbed to death in your closet as you sleep”. Can’t wait. http://www.myspace.com/candyspookytheatermurder

The doors for the show in Berlin open at 19h. Tickets are € 25,00 , pre-sale € 21,50. More information at www.k17.de
