Appelpop is a yearly free festival in Tiel, The Netherlands, with an impressive line-up ranging from pop, hip/hop and blues to rock, grunge and even metal. The festival has three stages where mostly national talent and settled names as well as some big international acts will play on Friday evening and Saturday.

On Friday, rock chick Miss Montreal will open the main stage, while Chef’Special and De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig will provide the audience with some more easy going tunes. Friday’s closing act will be taken care of by famous Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. Prepare yourself for some spectacle! Saturday’s program starts off in the afternoon with Dutch acts like Gers Pardoel and Krystl on the main stage while stoner metal band Karma to Burn will take care of some more heavy stuff on the Brunotti stage. Also this afternoon are the Heideroosjes, one of the Netherlands most famous punk bands. True gems in today’s line up however must be international rock legend Bush and Dutch singer Anneke Van Giersbergen (former The Gathering).

Appelpop festival has a great line up with musical flavours for each and everyone. With hopefully some summer weather after all, a great way to spend the second weekend of September. This year’s 21st edition of Appelpop will take place on Friday and Saturday 7 & 8 September at the Waalkade in Tiel, The Netherlands.
