katatonia tour2016KATATONIA will be touring in autumn with their new album. Nearly 2.5 years after their last German tour, Swedish representatives of Dark Progressive Rock are back with their new album ‘The Fall of Hearts’ and announce five German shows in autumn. The official successor of 2012 record ‘Dead End Kings’ was recorded at the Stockholm based studio Gröndahl & Tri-lamb and produced by Anders Nyström & Jonas Renkse themselves. It was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Ihsahn, Devin Townsend) at the Fascination Street Studios with Karl Daniel Lidén (Switchblade, The Ocean, Greenleaf) as engineer. The gloomy cover was created by long-time KATATONIA designer and illustrator Travis Smith.

During the last four years since the release of the latest studio album, KATATONIA were touring worldwide and released two special albums via the Peaceville sister label Kscope and extended their fan base even further. In 2013, the released ‘Dethroned & Uncrowned’ where they expanded into the heart of the ‘Dead End Kings’ songs. In 2015, the live acoustic album and the concert movie ‘Sanctitude’ followed. These two albums flattened the path to their current progressive sound. ‘The Fall of Hearts’ is the first album with new drummer Daniel ’Mojjo’ Moilanen and with the shortly recruited guitarist Roger Öjersson (Tiamat).

In September and October, fans in Germany could convince themselves from the songs of the new album when the band is playing in Leipzig, Frankfurt, Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg. Pre-sale exclusively starts on 25th May 2016 at 10:00 via www.x-why-z.eu!
