crobot2014There was a time when rock radio was dominated by great riffs. From DEEP PURPLE’s 'Smoke On the Water' and DEREK AND THE DOMINOES’ 'Layla' to SOUNDGARDEN’s 'Black Hole Sun' and RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE’s 'Killing In The Name Of', it was all about that unmistakable guitar sound that instantly identified a band or song. Blending funk, blues, metal and rock and roll, CROBOT have crafted an album of endless good time rock hooks for their forthcoming new album, titled 'Something Supernatural' due out October 24 on Nuclear Blast. Today, the group - whose stage show was praised by Pittsburgh Music Magazine as, "wild, brutal and sexy all at once." - premiere a new live performance video for the song 'Legend of the Spaceborne Killer' exclusively with YAHOO!

CROBOT is a band that can rock at all tempos. The good time anthem and first single 'Nowhere To Hide' - a track that sounds like the BLACK CROWES driving a Camaro - has cracked the Top 20 at radio, climbing to #16 this week with major market support including SiriusXM Octane, WIIL Chicago, WRIF Detroit, KISW Seattle, KXXR Minneapolis, WIYY Baltimore, WJRR Orlando and WFTK Cincinnati, among others. Watch the video for 'Nowhere To Hide' (www.smarturl.it/CrobotYouTube). Meanwhile, on the slow-building groove of 'Skull Of Geronimo', a methodical sludge-rocker that calls to mind SOUNDGARDEN in the chorus, CROBOT display stellar musicianship and lyrical depth.

For 'Something Supernatural', the central Pennsylvania-based band worked with the producer Machine (CLUTCH, LAMB OF GOD) at his Machine Shop studios. The same team worked on CROBOT’s self-titled EP (http://blog.crobotband.com/Music) which Revolver magazine hailed: “…the central Pennsylvania quartet stomps through these four songs with the authority of a group that’s been around for decades, weaving together the deep grooves of stoner rock with grunge, blues, and metal influences. ‘Legend of the Spaceborne Killer’ sets the fuzz-drenched tone, but it’s the semi-epic ‘La Mano de Lucifer’ that really lets CROBOT stretch out into heavy space-blues territory that showcases both Brandon Yeagley’s vocals and Chris Bishop’s guitar heroics. This’ll do for now, but our appetite is fully whetted for CROBOT's next full-length". Elsewhere, the Centre Daily Times described the group as “the American version of WOLFMOTHER, a KINGS OF LEON on speed”. Meanwhile, LOUDWIRE called the EP, "One of the dirtiest, grooviest discs you'll hear all year".

The band spent the past few years honing their live show and garnering a devoted following from their bombastic U.S. performances at festivals and clubs shows. After more high-profile tours with CLUTCH, THE SWORD, TRUCKFIGHTERS, KYNG and KILL DEVIL HILL, expect the band to announce headlining dates for the fall soon. 2014 and 2015 promise to be the biggest for CROBOT yet, with a Top 20 song at radio, a new album full of hooks and intelligent songwriting, intense live performances and their unique brand of humor - interstellar domination is imminent.
