After the sensational EP ‘Young.Used.Wasted’, the first full length record ‘Neverland’ by the group from Essen hits the stores on 1st May. The imposing mix of Metalcore, electro, punk and pop gets discharged on 10 energetic tracks on ‘Neverland’ which should knock the socks off every bore. From the heart of the Ruhr area, the boys of TO THE RATS AND WOLVES released their first EP ‘Young.Used.Wasted’ in 2013 while the first songs, among them the title bearer ‘Young.Used.Wasted’, came as a real bombshell based loosely on the motto “I don't like the drinks but the drinks like me”! Several ten thousand clicks in the first weeks confirmed the ground-breaking start of the six guys from Essen. Additionally to the EP, a cover version of KESHA's ‘Die Young’ was released which lists 100,000 clicks on YouTube to this day.
After one year on the stages across Germany the first tour through Europe followed opposite ESKIMO CALLBOY (among others, Switzerland, Italy, Austria), alongside the US-Americans Iwrestledabearonce and the Swedish combo Her Bright Skies. But with this, the year 2014 was nowhere near its end for the guys from the Ruhr area. After a filled summer and almost every weekend on stage (Mair1, Olgas-Rock, Bochum Total and many more), they went on tour again with ESKIMO CALLBOY as main support through Germany in autumn 2014... with the “We are the Mess #Round2 tour”, TO THE RATS AND WOLVES are finishing their most successful year so far.
TO THE RATS AND WOLVES are a sense of life. Simply shutting off one's head and taking time off the boring routine and becoming an adult. One is young only once after all. Based loosely on the motto... “Young.Used.Wasted.” …and this is still more than acted out next and especially on stage!
