Review Flash

Just a while ago I did an Interview with Marc of the Band THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. Their last record ‘In Charge of the Scythe’ was met with critical acclaim and now this fine band is on the brink of their first tour through England. This EP features five songs: the opener ‘Man on the Wire’ my personal favourite and a BLIND GUARDIAN’esque speed metal hymn with epic outgrowth is a very melodic piece of music (Diddi proofs here that he is a vocalist that has his very own voice). Second song ‘Low Winter Sun’ begins with a staccato riff that instantly reminds me of ICED EARTH (which is fucking epic), the song quickly changes it`s tone and once again cites 80`s speed metal, this song is a grower and becomes a real earworm. The third song is called ‘Journey of the Damned’; this one is very catchy and sounds like a typical metal single because of its radio capability. Number four is ‘Thunder and Lightning (Reloaded)’. This song is catchy too but a little bit cheesy too because of its song writing and overall composition. Last but not least comes ‘Horizon (Acoustic)’ is a cool acoustic piece which is a bit quieter but very nicely accomplished.

Conclusion: I will stay tuned considering what I heard on this EP and their last output ‘In Charge of the Scythe’ and so should you my dear readers.
