FOZZY, the American metal band around WWE`s Chris Jericho, has released another record. This output is called ‘Do You Want To Start A War’ and it’s a mixture of heavy metal and more modern influences (nu metal/ alternative). For example the opener, ‘Do You Want To Start A War’, is a bit traditional with heavy modern influences (which is okay but not very creative sounding); the song ‘Died With You’ is a nice metal ballad almost without any modern element at all (which I enjoy, nice song). ‘Brides Of Fire’ is very straightforward and old-school, which I like very much. Most of the songs are a bit confusing because of the changing of musical directions, but when they hit they hit hard (just like Jericho in the ring). Some of the heard material is inconsequential and some of it is not. There are two clear points that speak for the band: they play their stuff really well and they have Chris Jericho, which is a wresting star and a good vocalist
Conclusion: If you are into old-school heavy metal FOZZY might not be your cup of tea but if you are none of the faint of heart and a wresting fan you will wanna give it a shot.
