FALLEN ANGEL is a traditional heavy metal band from upstate New York, USA playing metal in the style of ICED EARTH or CAGE. The music is epic and somewhat proggy in parts. The band is currently working out a trilogy of records based on a three part novel series written by guitarist and founding member John Cruppe and ‘Crawling out of Hell’ is the first part of this epic. This record was first released independently in 2010. the band was formed in 1983, split up in 1986 and reformed in 2009 (what a ride). This epic record consists of 20 songs so yeah the band has something to say obviously. I enjoyed this output but hope they find their way musically on the coming records because sometimes there’s too much cramped into one song and I find it confusing and sometimes a bit stressful to listen to.
Conclusion: Confusing but still recommended!
