Review Flash

November 2015 saw NEW ORDER playing two nights at a sold out Brixton Academy in support of the new album ‘Music Complete’. The second of the two shows was captured by Live Here Now, and was release as NOMC15 (New Order Music Complete 15) on April 14, 2017. Available as Deluxe Limited Edition packages, the album is released on Double CD, featuring a new iconic artwork by Warren Jack. And the result is stunning. The mixing and sound are brilliant. Almost two hours, 19 tracks (1 being Wagner’s ‘Das Rheingold – Vorspiel’ as intro to the gig) with a good balance between the last album, ‘Music Complete’ (five tracks including a featuring by La Roux on ‘People On The High Line’), hits (8), rare tracks (3, including ‘Your Silent Face’ and ‘586’) and JOY DIVISION (2). Almost all tracks have been reworked, offering some new renditions, wherever on new or old tracks. Noticeably, Barney’s vocals are excellent, and the band performs in a very powerful way, showing how much of a live act this band became.

Conclusion: Another evidence that most of the “old” bands from the 80’s still rule.
