Life of Agony, Hassliebe
It was a hot Tuesday evening in Munich and it should still become much hotter, because the rock band LIFE OF AGONY with famous front man Keith Caputo came to the Backstage...

Area4 Festival 2009 Day 2: Rise Against, AFI, Eagles of Death Metal, Thursday, The Get Up Kids, Broilers, Rival Schools, Callejon, Everlaunch, Revolving Door
The second festival day again offered lots of sun and started quite relaxed for us. We arrived at the area quite some time before the first band started and so, I got first the coffee I desperately needed to be fit enough for what the day had to offer, and that was lots of Hardcore stuff and alike.

Taubertal-Festival 2009 Day 2 & 3 (Main Stage): Montreal, Asaf Avidan & The Mojos, The Subways, Flogging Molly, In Extremo, Farin Urlaub Racing Team, Sondaschule, Zebrahead
Could it be even hotter? When I arrived at the Eiswiese in the early afternoon, there weren’t any clouds in the sky but closeness everywhere and the sun was burning down. Therefore, the beginning of the second Taubertal-day was very relaxed. Everyone seemed to suffer under the nearly tropical heat and many of the partly very young campers had to deal with the consequences of residual alcohol in their blood. Though I experienced the Taubertal-Festival as a peaceful and well-organized event, that obvious problem was my main point of criticism. Certainly, it’s too difficult to make a completely successful check on underage drinking.

Area4 Festival 2009 Day 1: Die Toten Hosen, The Offspring, Deftones, Jet, Mad Caddies, Turbostaat, Zebrahead, CJ Ramone
Already for the third time, the Area4 festival took place at the airfield Borkenberge in Lüdinghausen. And also for the third time, the festival was blessed with sunny summer weather. And also the thunderstorm at the Thursday passed the festival area with already present 10,000 visitors by a few kilometres. Luckily! My ride to the festival on early Friday afternoon was pretty relaxed, but only two hours later the traffic became chaotic and lots of people were standing in queues for hours. But let’s start with what we were there, with the music!

Hatebreed Bashes the Nation with its Comrades: Hatebreed, Chimaira, Winds of Plague, Dying Fetus, and Toxic Holocaust
When it comes to any type of tour, during any time of year there is one thing to do in a time like this, "Loose Your Mind!" This is exactly what the 900 people scattered about the Pomona Glasshouse did on the night of 18th August 2009. A sea of black t-shirts and long hair covered in sweat ran up and down if not all around the Glass House, screaming and shouting throughout half the night. The night itself having had started off fast and heavy, with an intention that wouldn’t fade away anytime soon.
