Self-styled Necro’n’Rollers KVELERTAK, have previewed two new tracks that are a further illustration of the band’s decision to adopt a more professional approach when it comes to recording their work, and which, according to guitarist BJARTE, takes the band in a slightly different direction, and one that they plan to investigate further.  “Ordsmedar av Rang” is a brand new track, which was  recorded at the Bekk Studios in Stavanger and which was engineered, produced and mixed by Ashley Stubbert together with the KVELERTAK.   “Liktorn”, on the other hand, was recorded at the same time as “Fossegrim”, the track that features CARPATHIAN FOREST front man NATTEFROST on vocals. All three tracks are streaming on KVELERTAK’s MySpace page at www.myspace.com/kvelertak

Based in Stavanger, Norway, KVELERTAK’s sound mixes a harder, darker edge with a large dose of exuberance, and an unusual, three-guitar line up, which recently added guitarist MACIEK OFSTAD, from Sweden’s PATH OF NO RETURN, to its ranks as a replacement for the departing ANDERS MOSNESS. The band has also released a short video of their appearance at the Roskilde Festival, which they describe somewhat tongue in cheek as a “5 minute extremely low budget rockumentary made by our guitarist Vidar when he couldn’t sleep".

KVELERTAK are due to enter the studio later this year, to begin recording a new album, and are scheduled to play a number of dates and festivals around Norway as follows:

14 Aug: Øyafestivalen, Club Maiden, Oslo
15 Aug: Kanalrock, Horten
26 Aug: Hole In The Sky Festival, Garage, Bergen
04 Sept: Sensommerfestivalen, Sandness
18 Sept: Rockefeller, Oslo
