UMBRA ET IMAGO’s mastermind Mozart has also a side project, DRACUL, and the new (fifth) album ‘Auf Grund’ is here. Disregarding the ‘Intro’, the problem of the first two songs although they’re likeable and pleasing is that they feed off RAMMSTEIN so much, within Mozart’s main project this influence is more absorbed. In ‘Follow Me’ Mozart’s obvious German accent on English makes the song a tad hilarious though it’s danceably enjoyable. ‘Dracul’s Follow Me Part II’ feels tired and it’s poppiness has an 80’s cheesy feel, though on the other hand it comes off that the intention could well be ironic. Throughout the whole album there’s a feeling that not enough attention and energy has been put into it, and it’s just a field to throw off-cut ideas. It’s mere amusement.
