Introduction

October 7th 2006, the band independently released their new CD called "Legeon". It's the first big release of the band. Legeon is a synonym for individuality, and making choices. The recording of Legeon was mainly done by the band itself. It was a hard but good experience. The eventual mixing has been done by Arno Krabman, already known for the recording of "Razor Cut Reality". The CD contains 8 tracks, with 6 new songs, that define the direction The Embodiment is going to. "Legeon" will certainly blow your head off!

Song review

1. Second Eleven - 3:37
A strong opener of the record. A strong structure between fast and slow create a good balance. The vocals are a little bit normal at this track. The easy parts in the middle of it are very energetic. This song is good to start with, it sounds like more!

2. The Embodiment - 3:09
The intro is very heavy on this song in a positive way. The drums are very fast on this song, also the grunts and screams. The drums are a littlebit the same this whole track.

3. Legeon - 6:13
The intro is very dark and very different than the tracks before. It sounds like an intro from a horror movie. You can hear the guitarsriffs and bassriffs better! It's nice to hear some variety on the CD. The guitarsolo's are great! This song is complete!

4. Blood Ritual - 3:15
A nice guitar intro with a good balance to the drums. It's different than the songs before, but also very fast.

5. Dragonhunt - 4:16
A catchy song with a melodic intro. In the beginning of this track the drums are a slower and the vocals deeply. In the middle of the track the drums are getting faster. The balance between the intruments are great on this track, including the guitarsolo's!

6. Y2K - 3:41
A more up-tempo song, just a trashmetal machine with a catchy sound.

7. I'm Despair (2006 recording, originally on Razor Cut Reality)- 4:12
One of the first songs from The Embodiment, this tracks stands also at the first demo. A old track recorded again, a good choise! They put a little bit more triggers in it! Very heavy for people who knew the originally song.

8. Careless (2006 recording, originally on Razor Cut Reality) - 3:19
This track is also from the first demo. It's faster now, but it sounds complete. The balance between drums and guitar sounds nice.

Conclusion

The first thing I want to say; the artwork of the cd is great! But what they said about the CD is true! I can't say more, it's a complete album. The balance between the tracks are very nice for the ears!
