Their self-produced release ‘Scandinavian Masters’ crashed into the clubs like bomb two years ago and now the Scandinavian duo debuts on German label Out of Line with the new ‘World ChampionShit’.
CONTAINER 90’ is yet another project bringing us a fresh version of the good old Electronic Body Music sound in the wake of bands such as SPETSNAZ and what with one thing or another you exactly know what you get from such a band and I for one wouldn’t expect much more, but in addition to the well-known pulsating analogue sequencer line comes a unique organic feeling thrown into the mix with the drums and the vocals, even though shouted and screamed out as usual, which appear much more raw. Two of the stand-out track son the album for me are ‘Guttersnipe’ adding a little more melody to the sudatory sound and the other one would be the closer ‘Restless’ which shows that it’s not always necessary to just rely on speed when creating an arrangement. The drum parts are slower and playful while creating a certain tension which is always brooding under the surface but never fully breaks loose. That’s what makes this track so special to me in the end.
I think every track on the album has the potential to become a club hit and one or the other track will eventually become one and find its way into the heavy rotation list of the DJs - an album to dance and sweat. Nothing more but nothing less either.
