Band name: All:my:faults
Title: Anger Manifest EP
Record Company / Label: none, available through the band

Introduction

We saw the boys of AMF already last February at the Dark Dimension Night. With their very interesting mix of strange guitars, industrial rhythm and an angry voice they stood out in that little festival. We especially kept the very fidgety and present singer Steve:Kiai in our mind. Now they recorded a Promotion-CD and started to conquer the German dance floors. For live concerts, Steve searched for musicians and with the new full band member Jonas:Iscariot he found a creative musician and artist. Jonas is responsible for the whole band-artwork. We are very anxious to see the upcoming events. In the last summer they were already supporting The Crüxshadows, so things must become interesting this year.

Song review

Mirrors 4:52
This song starts with a little melody, which reminds me of a musical box from our childhood. I can’t stop thinking about it. This melody is the basic of the song about hope and doubt. It combines heavy guitars and violins.

Sand of Time 4:40
It starts with a slow introduction, than it gets faster. Steve uses his natural voice, but he shouts angry passages, maybe as a second speaker of the story. Fast changes in tempo are typical for that song. In the middle of the song, there is a little outtake, which sounds like very old music, a little bit like the sounds of a silent film.

Your anniversary 4:56
Heavy guitars in the background and a typical melodic chorus, which stays in your memory after two times of listening, mark that song. It gets faster and faster, but ends in something like a march to escort someone on his last way.

Alles ist gesagt 3:40
This is the only German song on this promo-CD. Steve’s voice is distorted and a little in the background. The electronics and guitars dominate this song. The lyrics are very angry, cynical and sad. They are full of hate and a little bit apocalyptic. In the last night there will be no hope and no way out. A song made for dance floors.

Forget me 5:35
I’m truly addicted to this song. It’s my favourite one on this CD - a very beautiful love song. The lyrics uses old-English words and are very romantic, although it’s a song about someone killing the one he loves. In my opinion it’s the story of a vampire falling in love with his victim, but he knows that there can be no future. There are very melodic violins supporting the whole song and creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Conclusion

Singer Steve often uses his own natural voices and does not distort it as much as some other electronic acts do. He wrote very appealing melodies, which stand in a huge contrast to the hard rocking guitar riffs. Additionally, the songs are completed with classical instruments and piano sounds (i.e. “Forget me”, “Sand of Time”). They all have very electronic basics. The band calls their style Dark-Metallic-Goth-Rock-Electro-Pop, but there shall be some more classifications added to unite all used styles. Some songs are in German and some are in English, but they all combine themes of romanticism, melancholy and much cynicism. That’s why the attentive listener will remember not only the melodies, but also some serious lyrics.
