Backstage Werk, Munich, Germany
4th December 2010
And One, f.o.d

In this ice-cold winter's day I came along on the way to Munich to have a look AND ONE and of their support acts SHADOW MINDS and F.O.D. However, unfortunately, because of the weather chaos I did not reach Munich by the train on time and missed, like so many other people also, the first band of the evening, the SHADOW MINDS, although even the bands started with delay.

f.o.d.

In the year 2000 the Electro-Band F.O.D. originated from the bands FAROUT and D.O.D. Since then they already published three albums, two singles and played more than 100 concerts. Moreover, they are the only band which finished two complete tours with AND ONE so far. In November their new album 'Maschinentanz' was published. http://www.fod-band.de/

Music & Performance
At 7:45 PM, eXcess D (voice), an/dress a. anderson (synthesizer) and André van den gerk (synthesizer) entered the stage and started to bring the frozen audience in the sold out Backstage Werk into the right mood. With Eva Pölzing (voice), the former BLUTENGEL-singer, eXcess D received vocal support. The listeners danced together playfully and by then the mood was extremely good. Unfortunately, after half an hour, everything was over. But the long-anticipated act AND ONE already waited for its appearance.

And One

The German Synth-Pop-Band AND ONE was founded in Berlin in 1989. Currently, the band consists of singer and founding member Steve Naghavi, Chris Ruiz (keyboard) and Gio van Oli (keyboard). For January 2011, the band, whose last four albums reached all the top 40 of the German album charts, has announced a new single which is to herald the new album. http://www.andone.de/

Music & Performance
After an apparently endless long rebuilding break the time had come. AND ONE on stage! The audience already raved before. Then, however, in the first third of the concert the mood was rather held back. Only afterwards the amount danced, clapped and joined in the singing. There was no more holding back as the band played the “classics” like 'Traumfrau', 'Deutschmaschine' or the partly ocntroversial 'Steine sind Steine'. At the end, many encores were played. Since songs like 'So klingt Liebe', 'Millitary Fashion Show' and 'Klaus' couldn’t be missing in a set of course.

The complete evening was exceedingly successful - the mood was huge in spite of cold and train delay and during more than two hours which AND ONE played, all hits were actually present! See you again next time.
