Album Review

HARDWIRE consider themselves being a band, like “KMFDM meets SLAYER”, and don’t worry, listening to the album you will clearly hear both influences. More over even En Esch (KMFDM, PIGFACE, SLICK IDIOT) himself took part in the song ‘God Help Us All’. Among the other bands, inspiring the musicians, there are FLA, TERMINAL CHOICE, MINISTRY and DIE KRUPPS. On the ‘Insurrection’ you’ll hear nothing new: neither musically nor lyrically. But the work is quite good, it’s classical industrial metal, as KMFDM played it in their best times. The album is made with quite high quality and great love to genre.

Mostly it is about cold traditional electronics, quick thrilling guitar, flat and biting drums and of course male vocals shouting the manifests of the new age. Sometimes the fat guitar riffs meet catchy electronic passages, like on ‘Expired’, and then you can’t help dancing. There are also lighter tracks like ‘Taste of Flesh’ or ‘No Regrets’, which will surely stuck in your head for the rest of the day. As the result HARDWIRE released the album, which people might be waiting for years, because all the representatives of the classical industrial metal sound were carried away by their own experiments and attempts to manage wider limits. If you’re missing that gloomy hard but still danceable industrial – HARDWIRE will remind you on the best days of this genre.
