Album Review

Superhero Metal WTF is that. Ok, clearly it is Power Metal (I hate the name), mostly sounding like a rougher version of HAMMERFALL, nevertheless is this band unique. They combine a cartoon styled image based on 80s animation series like He-man with well played Metal, musically I can say that they make some steps across the borders of pure Power Metal. At their live shows they dress up like Superheroes, have show-elements with villains and include the crowd into it. The upcoming album contains eleven songs. The songs ‘Morning Dew’ and ‘Sea Song’ contains folk parts, ‘Absence of Gravity’ includes Melodic Death Metal parts. A ballad is also featured with ‘Anna Lee’. The bonus track ‘Holding out for a Hero’ is a cover version of a Bonnie Tyler song. As the end it is an album which could musically be enjoyed by all fans of Power Metal like HAMMERFALL, SABATON or BLIND GUARDIAN and GRAVE DIGGER. For those who honour OMEN and MANILLA ROAD, better test on YouTube if you like it.
