Album Review

And here’s another band from Japan polarizing fans of electronic music all over Europe. Really? Well, this time, things are a little bit different. While singer Andro is writing and recording his songs in Osaka, Yoshiki lives in the heart of Europe - in Vienna - composing the tracks influenced by the local club scene and therefore playing “games without frontiers” as you can say. The new release is not only showing the qualities, fans of Visual Kei and J-Rock would like, there is in fact the influence of EBM, Electro and Future Pop which is more adapted to European listeners. Although I’m not into these Japanese vocals and probably will never get used to, they’re really well embedded in the great structured composing. Beside this, ‘ZeitGeist’ is offering a successful alliance between European sounds and eastern melodies. Well done!
