Album Review
The LORDS OF ACID were formed in 1988 by Praga Khan and from their beginning the sound of the band was a hybrid of Industrial and Dance. The band never stopped practicing the combination of catchiness and sleaziness and should you add some deviant sex and drugs imagery you’ll have a glimpse of what the band is about. ‘Little Mighty Rabbit’ signifies the comeback of the band after a decade while the full album will be released later on this year. The good news is that the band maintains its fun. DJ Mea’s voice offers what exactly I mentioned; the combination of sleaziness and fun. Of the kind you might find in Japanese movies, the Torture Garden parties and the like.
The combination of Industrial and Dance is really catchy and the three songs are very suitable for the dance floor or for interesting parties. The bad news is that the band still believes that the audience is Mormons who will be shocked by its themes and we suffer from loss of memory and we need to listen to the same song over and over again thus they’ve decided to include 9 different versions of the ‘Mighty Little Rabbit’ which are not that different after all and the only result they might cause is nausea. I would recommend waiting for the album and to get this EP only if you are a truly impatient fan.
