Album Review

Interestingly enough at the beginning I thought that KELLERKIND was the project of Marco Biagnini but as it seems here we’re talking about the solo project of Sid, the leading vocalist of THE PUSSYBATS, a band that has managed to build some reputation in the area of Alternative Glam Rock. Apparently, Sid not quite pleased by that started writing his own music, for the most part consisting of a guitar. He should have remained in his band. For if you’re not Janis-bloody-Joplin do not try to take an acoustic guitar thinking that you’ll grab your audience and that they will have fun. Because they will not. Here and there fun exists but I’m afraid it is not of the kind Sid wants or expects. For example in ‘Ordinary Dreams’ I had tremendous fun listening to his voice (in German songs it sounds better). This CD is another example of generic, unmemorable and utterly uninteresting music. Maybe this is the reason why it is called Alternative; you surely have other and better options.
