Album Review

LET’s GET READY TO RUMBLE... as the song ‘Freezing’ likes to introduce us. After the successful ‘We Are Kant Kino, You Are Not’, our favourite Norwegian electro heads return with their brand new second studio album ‘Father Worked In Industry’ which was mixed and mastered by none other than Claus Larsen of LEAETHER STRIP. It’s not a secret that I’ve become a fan of KANT KINO since they’ve re-released their first masterpiece. So I am very happy that I got this album way before it’s released and it shortened my time of waiting.

Starting with a song entitled ‘We Are Still Kant Kino’, I can say is that this is not a liar. Their straight EBM sound, the rough edged sound, the stomping beats and the angry vocals are still there - even better. I’ve known the band from the very beginning and I can say that the music is very individual and very KANT KINO. There’s no other who does this kind of music in this way. As always I want to highlight some songs that brought me earworms. But honestly - I cannot do this because this album is a non-stop hit-machine that will satisfy all true EBM-fans, and even these ones who thought there’s no real EBM anymore. You don’t need to set marks on single songs, because you can listen to the whole thing without complaining.

This LP is also released in a two disc-deluxe-edition containing lots of exclusive remixes. To give my satisfaction of this LP much more expression - I want to say one last thing. Buy, buy, buy… it’s really worth it!
