Today, in the middle of 2013, it is especially interesting to observe all the speculations around the Mayas Apocalypse, which should have been break out on 21. December last year. As nearer the day has been coming, as more times the Apocalypse has been mentioned. Thousands of people and dozens of bands among them have been trying to profit on Maya. NULLDB were one of them. The musicians not just released their new CD short before the big day, they also devoted to it the whole work.
In the face of the End of Time, the band worked hard and managed it to release quite intensive powerful album. It is nice to know, that in spite of all the scary predictions of Maya or whoever we not just keep living, but also have a chance to enjoy more music in genre of NDH. Even if the high point of this musical direction was left behind long ago and the best pieces are already done, it seems that the limit of it isn't reached yet. NULLDB made a really bright album. They improved typical “German hardness” by diluting it with elements of Nu-Metal. What's not less important, the vocalist Franky Kühnlein doesn't manipulate with standard German singing manner of deep strong voice. His style reminds rather on Micha “Das Letzte Einhorn” from IN EXTREMO, what absolutely gives this band additional points.
Hard, loud, danceable, cool – those words fit perfect to this album. If the world comes undone, this CD would be a great soundtrack to encourage people to fight for their lives till the last blood drop. Everybody who misses German Rock in the best meaning of this term, should check this album out.
